I read it last night . I think it's house bill 4269 I'll see if I can find it again .
It looked like all guns other than a single shot , any semi automatic were in the bill to be banned from future sales if passed . Law enforcement of various kinds would still be able to purchase semi-automatic firearms . Nearly every house democrat support it the list was a mile long . A volunteer buy back bill was also introduced , any country that has very strict gun regulations or gun bans started out with volunteer buy backs or turn in on weapons . The buy back program will pay 125% of gun value .
If the dems were in control if the house and senate we will be in big trouble but they don't want us disarmed , I call BS !

I found the bill and when I clicked on the web site again it wasn't there. Even the 10-22 , all semi shot guns all semi auto rifles, including rimfires. Also ban on all transfers of guns between citizens.
Through the years I've taken a lot of flack when I stated that the Democrats would do anything to outlaw guns from private citizens. Obama stated in a speech the other day that his main agenda for the next year was gun control and climate change. Clinton said when she is president one of her main objectives will be to install the same gun laws as Australia has.

You are right about the disarment our countries future is in the balance as a democracy not just on the 2nd amendment but the 1st is under fire too along with individual states rights . As a Missourian our state choose not to be part if the REAL ID program and very soon we will not be able to board planes or enter federal buildings with our state issued Id even though we have to show our birth certificate and proof of address to get it . I guess if I were an undocumented immigrant in CA I would be I compliance . At the current time we have a republican controlled house and senate , but as soon as the dems are back in control this bill will pass . Along with many others - the liberal agenda is in full force and us no longer hidden .
I know you noticed the section on private sales of semiautomatics between private citizens would be unlawfull ,then there is the safe storage section and the buy back program . I have to wonder how many would sell their weapons back to the government at 125% of their value when they can't sell them to individuals lawfully .
We are well on our way to totalitarian acontrol and I am worried if enough will wake up before it is allowed to happen . I tried to post this in the coonhounds page to inform those that never come to this section but it was moved here in about 5 min . For those if you reading this please inform your family and friends so many live in complacency and take the America we know and love for granted .

i believe those are on the list not effected unless i misread. also semi autos like the 10/22 are excluded aswell. chey, i wonder which mo. reps. should be contacted?

That long list of guns at the end were the guns exempt from the bill to ban assault guns. That being said this is still a bill that needs to be stopped not just allowed to die in committee. When people don't take action that is perceived as being not interested which in the political world means voting for this bill is not risking anything such as not getting reelected. Contact your representative if they are on or off the list of sponsors!

Any gun bill needs stopped dead in its tracks. Buy up your ammo. I been saying it for a few yrs. These dems right at tgus moment want get this pulled off I dont think. What they could do is make regulations so stiff on ammo companies they cant afford to operate. With no ammo. Guns are no good.

We must remember that we are the only developed country with gun rights garenteed in the constitution. I know that switerland allows everyone to own guns but that is not garrenteed in the constitution, the government to stop that whenever they want. Guatimala also has gun rights in their constitution. But our rights are the most generous in the world. I hate to think if what this how this world would change if we lost our right to have guns. I suspect the government of many countries would go full dictator.

This is a email I got from Gun Owners Of America when I emailed them asking more about this bill.This is their reply.

We are aware of H.R. 4269. Because it's 30 votes short of passage in the Senate and well short of a majority in the House, we suspect it's being introduced to raise money for Bloomberg and his ilk.

As, in the end, even the government conceded, the previous 1994-2004 semi-auto ban had absolutely no beneficial impact on the crime rate. And California's semi-auto ban did nothing to protect a building-full of innocent disarmed people in San Bernardino.

What will help is arming everybody and shooting these idiots when something goes down. Obama had fake tears they say while talking today. Makes me freaking sick! Where were the tears when terrorists killed or service men in Tn? Craps gettin real now. No telling what his little order will actually do. Rem him saying. If you like your insurance no problem you can keep it. Them hundreds of millions lost it??? He can lead about like a blind hog in a snow storm.

I know it's natural for us gun owners and patirots to say we will use force to defend our rights. But when one considers the cost, can we actually do so? Think about it, you would be a felon, go to prison for ever or worse, lose your house and family, your freedom - though limited it may be. All your neighbors will be standing on their porch watching as you go down in a blaze of glory. They will go on as normal and you will go to prison or worse.
And, they will not come for just your gun(s), they will somehow encircle a neighborhood or county and do a sweep. No more than a few people will resist and the rest will fold.
The only way to successfully resist is to prepare in advance. Some kind of organized force having command and control elements must be established. That's the challenge. How many of us know of more than one or two like minded men, men prepared to give it all in our area. I know of no one.
I'm interested in hearing comments on how a gun grab will go down and how it might be stopped.

Hahahahahaha i have a hard time believing this! not laughing at the seriousness of the bill just this thread went from a legitamate concern to people blowin smoke and goin rambo on the us gov. that is the biggest joke and the reaction the gov. officials who are for gun control expect and are counting on!!!! Personally i have zero use for a semiauto let alone an assault rifle but do not think its right ban them.

I use one for everything and I just like to fire em off.. The point of this executive order is to keep guns out of criminals hands. So some of you smart feller tell me exactly how thats going to work please. Its working so well on the illegal drugs and all. So what are some of you saying? You'd just sit back and let the gov come in and take all your guns from you if they came???

GA Dawg, That's the issue I wanted to bring up. We don't know how it will come down. In one way, say a sheriff comes to your house and tells us to give him guns, or maybe a bunch of national guardsman seals off a neighborhood and starts making a sweep, maybe turning off cell phones. I won't give my life on my porch by shooting a LEO and then getting shot myself. I think it better to hide guns and when LE starts taking guns maybe folks will get out of their easy chairs and start talking with their neighbors and get organized. If folks start organizing now, someone will tell LE and they will be all over it. As far as why one has a gun or guns, it's no ones business. It's ok to have guns for no reason.
