pinched nerve in shoulder??

I've got a pinch nerve in my shoulder that makes my right arm tingle and hurt, has anyone had to deal with this and what was the remedy? Thanks

I suggest you take 2 aspirn every 4 hours for a couple of days and keep it still. Heat pads will help too.
Other wise see a doctor.

I had similar in my left shoulder and arm. Turned out to be the nerve was being pinched by the bone closing up around it. Surgery in my neck fixed it.

Going to try one more thing sending me to a chiropractor several people really brag on him he adjust you and it breaks up that calcium build up in the joint and relieves the pressure in the joint off of the nerve surgery is a last resort I been cut on enough you might try it hope this helps bud.

I'm for that , sleepyhead is scared of doctors

Find out which bone/joint is pinching the nerve and get it "fixed". Depending on what is causing the problem, chiropractor or steroid shot may help. Surgery is the last resort if they can't "fix" it by manipulating it. Have they done an MRI to pinpoint where the nerve is getting "pinched".

I had surgery on my left one and took about 4 months to heal. Had a Physical Therapist fix the other one. The one the Therapist fixed was about 20 years , no recovery time. Not sure if mine was the same problem as yours. I remember that the Dr. told me each shoulder had different problems. Good luck.

Make sure you tell them all the details about what's going on with you and for them to get X-ray.
I can't find any chiropractor that will touch me,,they all refuse to work on me,,said I would need approval letter from my doctor before they will ever touch me,,good luck

About 15 months back ,my wife and I were rear ended at a stoplight .So after an MRI,Catscan, a EMG about 100 Xrays ,11 months of physical therapy and not to mention all the drugs and needles ,I've still got a pinched nerve in my neck that has both my ring and pinky fingers on both hands numb . Not fun to say the least ,I go to see my regular tomorrow and my neurologist Thursday, may have to change the battle some ,lol

Good luck and best wishes guys !!

Let us know Chuck

Not good news, she said there is no known surgery to fix me up . So it is more therapy and up the strength of the one med and some script for muscle relaxers , other than this I'm pretty much doomed .

I've taken the advice of the croatankid and not moved much in three days seem to be getting better, might of suffered some brain damage in the part of the brain that acknowledges pain. Hope everyone else gets some relief

I had similar symptoms had surgery to remove hurniated disc in my neck the longer you wait the worse the pain and myself i lost all strength in my right arm could not use my arm to brush my teeth. Felt 100% better after surgery. Actually gave me a steroid pack week before that made a world of relief. If they are not finding anything i would find a neuroligist that do alot of professional sports athletes they seem to have seen alot of injuries that reg docs have not seen . Make sure whoever you go to you do your homework because there are some that will do more damage than good. Sleepy head i see tou are form indiana you should look for a doc from ortho indy .

Anyone use a 10s Unit? This a little device with 4 electrodes. You stick, because they are sticky, to the opposites sides of the area that is hurting. the 10s unit sends pulsation tiny shocks that makes the muscles twitch which then cause the pain to subside. My wife uses them n her knee and foot. I know it sounds like a wird name but that's what it's called.
