The long haul
I have a section of national Forrest right behind my house and me and brother N law got dropped of and walk hunted all way threw to my house. Was all most 4 mile walk way crow flys I figure we walked about 6 miles. My dogs ended up cover about 12 miles according to garmin. Had great hunt looked at several coon. Young dog recasted off tree good. Only bad part of night was when we treed in bluff dog got upon wholes in bluffs took bout 45 minutes to get them out. We hunt a lots of make one tree a drop then load up and head new spot. But I enjoyed walk hunting and I think not letting dog have break helps get them legged up.
