Birdseye in Alpha

I bought an Alpha earlier this year and downloaded birdseye on it and all the maps I use but I can't figure out how to turn it on. The directions said to go to maps and then layers. Can't find anything that says layers and if I go to the setup it says birdseye is enabled but it does not show up. How can I fix it? Jimmy
