Semen
I have a friend who has a old dog that was probably one of the most track driving dogs that ever was. my friend was and still is just a hunter never was a breeder or nite hunter, he kept score with a 22 rifle, still does. I have often thought about getting his old hound collected but have never done the deal. The hound is 14 now, does anyone give his semen much virility, ability to fertilize eggs.
get a semen test done on him
Won't know unless you get a semen test if he test good to decent you should get him collected never know what your missing till its gone...

the count may be low all though you may still be able to get you some pups from him ..
i bred a young female back to a 15 year old male once and she never had but 4 pups and all was healthy and lived and the 2 i kept made good dogs ..
Call Kristin Block with Block Sporthounds. She charges 200 to collect a male and will be very honest with you about the fertility of the semen collected. She is great to work with.
