Treeing Cur

"Garmin", 14 week old pup off Jeremy Garner's Crocket and one of my Leopard females. I really like this fella! Thanks Jeremy!

Thanks Rod! I'm really liking him. The whole litter is very game and intelligent.

Treedog

Took Garmin's mama out for a short squirrel hunt this morning. I managed to knock down 3 and let 2 get away. Could have used a shooter or two and some young eyes! Couldn't resist showing the pup one of the dead squirrels when I got home and I'm thinking he liked it. I'll show him a live critter or two next month then take him hunting a little before the season closes. Garmin is as game as any pup his age I've ever owned.

Tree dogs

15 month old leopard gyp, Kelly with Dawn on Kelly's fist squirrel hunt. Kelly's treeing her own coon with style....just thought I'd try her on squirrels.

Kelly again

With Dawn this Saturday. Kelly split several times.

a little Christmas

training this morning. Trapped a squirrel and turned it loose in the yard for Garmin.

Kelly

Is gonna make a top prospect to produce some powerful treeing curs later...just a pup now but making some older finished dogs look bad.

And when she trees she usually has the meat!
Oh yeah, the dog pulling the vine ain't mine!

A short video

Of Garmin's littermate "Tank" treeing a wild squirrel. Tank belongs to Johnny Burson in Arkansas.

Still kickin myself

For letting Diamond get away from me but glad Chase Nolan in Louisiana is enjoying him! In less than 40 hunts he's accounted for nearly 500 squirrels and he retrieves em to boot! This pic was taken today following a short hunt after the storms passed. Thinking I'll breed Kelly to him. Their mamas are littermates.

Posted by canadian curs on 02-16-2016 12:57 PM:

john. the road your taking you will breed lots like him. that's a good pup.

Posted by John T. W. on 02-16-2016 04:27 PM:

Thanks David!

advice and encouragement from you is always welcome. Diamond and Kelly are both from high percentage litters with several close up in their pedigree from high percentage litters. So I agree...they will most likely replicate themselves.

diamond

Is diamond a full blood lep ?? I really like your crosses they are looking nice

Posted by John T. W. on 02-16-2016 06:26 PM:

Yes

He's off Ganus Hoosier Jug X Cypress Brake Bell. Thanks for the compliment! He was bred by my buddy Brent Stevens.

Diamond again!

Chase sent me this pic today. He said they've taken 137 in their last 5 hunts. I see old Diamond's curled up in the crate in this picture! Huntin the hair off of him!
