Why do people not put where they are located on their profile?

Why do these guys that are trying to sale their dogs/puppies will not put the $rice their asking for the dog or their phone number on their post??

If they would it would cut out a lot of BS

2.. i think that is because they want you to P.M. them or P.M. them before they give you a number to call and as for price they may not want you to see the sticker shock to they tell you about it first..
3.. you are right it would cut out all the bs or chain yanking though all people have the way they deal and i guess we just have to take the good with the bad..

i do not sell any dogs or pups though i have bought a bunch over the years and bought and traded lots of other things from people and another reason they do not want to put to much info out is because you want be able to track them down when they rip you off and that is why the slick ones use disposable cell phones they use them for a month and throw them away and get another one..

Reason for not posting location and real name they want to remain anonymous for whatever personal reason . The reason for not posting the price is actually one that has a good reason especially in higher priced dogs - price should be between the buyer and seller it is no one else's business .
You could both ask yourselves why a lack of info in your own profile and signature .

Well IF you would put your location AND if you would put a price on the ad, that would eliminate most of the tire kickers.

You are dealing with people that don't understand when to properly use the words "sell" and "sale"....you really expect them to list the three main things for any serious buyer, location, picture and price????

i do not get on here and sale anything so i guess you are right its not none of your business or anyone else what i have in my profile, on a the other hand what do you want me to put in my profile just pick any state or what ever else you want and i will put it in at random just like everyone else does, you do not know who you are dealing with no matter what they put in their profile.

As I said for whatever reason they want to be anonymous . You and tnrye are both fit this criteria so you can answer the question yourself , it is none of my business and makes no difference to me . It could be that about 10,000 people are in the witness protection program who don't want their identities , location and phone #'s known .
Msinc maybe a lot of things but I have never noticed him being the grammar police .

"Wants to be"......again, yours to get over, or not...I could really care less.

Let me try a little different to state my point so perhaps it may not be so offensive...

If I was in the market for a puppy, because it takes so much time and money to get one to the point we all want, I really want to purchase one from what appears to be a reputable breeder. I think we should all probably be able to agree on that.
I see and read a lot of posts from the Cummings' and I see how their posts are set up, his and his wife's name, their location and a phone number. They also have some of their accomplishments with their dogs listed so that tells me a lot too. I wouldn't expect every one of their puppies to be fantastic, no breeders are.
I have never bought a dog from them, but, I at least feel like I have as good or better of a chance at getting something decent from them as anyone else. He listed his name, his location, some references {his dogs} and a phone number on every post so I can give him a call and speak directly to the man {or his wife, at least I would know her name if he isn't home.}
On the other end of this boat is some guy who might really have some decent dogs too but I cannot trust him because of the way he has {or really has not} presented his dogs. If he don't know the difference between sell and sale I would say he probably isn't smart enough to make a good try at breeding dogs. His posts says he just threw two dogs together and would like to have some money. Most of these people seriously cannot understand why the rest of the world isn't beating a path to their door...
I for certain don't want/need to try and educate or bring them up to any standard...I very much prefer that they stay exactly the way they are. Something tells me they will.

My whole point is tnrye wanted to know why people don't have all their info when they want to sell/sale/or sail something . Probably for the same reasons he doesn't list all his info on posts . Kinda like the pot coloring the kettle black don't you think . If you don't like the lack of info on a classified section post don't inquire about it , it is pretty simple .
Msinc , you get to looking for a Maf dog/pup I would see if we could find you one . I don't think there are any in Maryland yet but some Pennsylvania guys love em .

Leaving out the sell/sale ridiculousness...I can tell you that a simple post requesting pictures of a pup from Mr. or Mrs. Cummings will get you those pictures posted in a matter of probably minutes.
The people you are defending are unable to do so, and we have only been posting pictures on the internet for what 20 plus years now???? Still want a dog from one of these people.
No phone number??? No problem...especially for them. You can call Mr. or Mrs. Cummings and talk to them if a problem arises or you have a question. What are you going to do with your man???? Chalk it up to expensive experience!!!
