Great hunt....Great guys!!!

This past week, I had the priviledge of being in Logan, Ohio for a Jubilee Meeting in the Ebenezer Baptist Church. I spoke Wed. and Fri. night!! I was preaching with Malcom Carter from Cullman, Ala. I met the brother of Doc Holshouser, the man who started the Hussler line of blues. Doc's brother attended every service, and had some interesting stories to tell about Doc and their hunting experiences. I also met Dave Woofter's nephew, who was a member of the church. His name is Scott, and is a super nice young man that also hunts blues. He has a son out of Piazon right now that's doing a good job. On Friday night, Matt Turner drove down, and hunted with us. He hunted Luke the Drifter, brother to Ginger, 2014 W.Ch. Bluetick, 2nd place overall. Luke is an awesome hound. He has a big loud mouth, and is an awesome tree dog. He is a mild natured dog with other hounds, yet he trees like a machine!!! Matt got there in time for part of the service. He is one great guy, and he is breeding some of the best blues out there. I wouldn't be surprised to see a World Champion overall winner come from his kennel. We had some wonderful fellowship, while enjoying some good hounds. It was really good for me to meet these people, worship with them, and then cut em loose!!! Doesn't get any better than that!!!!!

A couple of hounds I took with me to Ohio; Mayberry Blue Earnest T's ROCK, and Blue Sissy. Both are young hounds, yet they need no help.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Matt for the first time at the fall round up I've read alot about Matt hounds and I'm just like you I thank Matt has alot going for him in his kennel I believe God has blessed him I got to spektate Matt cast he hunted Luke out there I was very impressed with the mouth and the fire that Luke has in him he is a very action pact hound I shur liked what I saw I also enjoyed are visiting I think john Gill had Cash out there he is a nice hound with a big Horn to Mr Edwards I didn't want to hy jack your poast I hope to meet you sometime as well I shur like being around people hew love the Lord and blue hounds

Got an invite to the service in the mail and wish I would have attented now. Scott is a nice young man and is my wife's brother's son. I have been to the old church where the grave yard is located many times. I have a lot of friends that have been laid to rest there. Have been on the grounds of the new church and also shot clay birds there but never in the church. Have a lot of friends that go there. I hunted with all the Hussler dogs many times and know Doc's brother. Just spoke with him a couple weeks back. I am glad you enjoyed yourself while you were in Ohio. Thanks Dave. I wish I could have got by to see you, providing you would have been at home. We were with the pastor during the day; church and woods at night. That is beautiful country up there. Some of the men in the church invited me to come up and deer hunt during the rut. If there is anyway I can, i want to take them up on that offer!!!! Thanks for the compliment!!!

I am going to attend as many blue hunts as I can next year, if I'm living and able to go. I'm sure we'll meet somewhere down the road, and if not here, we'll meet in heaven!!!!!!

Thank You Craig and Jason for the kind words.Luke is a nice hound he can look good and bad like any hound. He is from a litter of real nice hounds and I've had good luck breeding when the litter turns out good. I'm glad you liked Luke,he's a real like able hound. Not much not to like about him.Craig all we can do is keep trying to breed high quality hounds. I've said many times I've been blessed when it comes to hounds and people around me.
It was a good time going to the service and what a Beautiful church.It was good meeting Scott and Malcum Carter. I wish I would have made it for the whole service and singing. Craig if you go back next year let me know I would love to bring my family to the service. Thank You Again.

Matt, I told you I was looking for something special, well, I found it.....standing in my kennel, and she came from your kennel. I took Jill out when I got home, and she was clicking on all cylinders from strike to tree. She was belly up, and spitting it out. Real good bawl on the track, and fast chop on the tree. She reminds me of my old Jake dog!! I am going to give her every chance to be all she can be. Thanks again. Your blessings have "Spilled" out on me.

That is great I liked everything about her. It just wasn't right me sitting on two real nice females out of Jake here and I Knew you would appreciate her as well as any body I know. Her littermates are doing very well also. I hope she puts you in the winner circle if that is what you chose to do with her. Thank You for the update.

She is. She is the light colored one in the picture. She usually gets by herself, and gets treed. She doesn't pay any attention to the dogs around her, and she is only a year and a half old. She has tons of potential. I owned a litter mate to your dog, and really didn't give him a chance. I bought him as a younger dog, sold him prematurely, and he ended up at Ken Hitchcock's house. Ken wanted to hunt bear with him, but he loved treeing coons too much to be a bear dog. I should have hunted him longer, but I didn't. Not the first time I messed up, and probably won't be the last. I'm sure glad your dog has done good for you Bill. You deserve it. There are a lot of great guys hunting blue dogs, and I'm blessed to have made their aquaintance, and you're definitely one of them!!! Glad to call you " Friend!"
