I've seen judges at large shows pull tapes on dogs to see if they exceed minimum or maximum height requiirements and removed from bench for failure to meet standards.
If dogs fail to meet standards they shouldn't be considered for placement. A judge doesn't have to award placements for the best of the worst. I understand a judge doesn't have to award placements in a catagory if nothing meets standards.

Your exactly right!!! But if i seen a judge use a tape measure I would ask him if they would use a more reliable way of measuring and not stacked but at natural stance.
