Plott Bear Dogs
In yalls opinion what is the hottest line of a Plott bear dog?
One that gets the job done. Many out there just have to find them
Lots of good lines i'm sure, we hunt the Ursus line out of British Columbia.
Allison line would get my vote. Mr. Marion has been hunting and breeding dogs for many decades. He and his dogs are both thought highly of around the Long time Plott folks
Dollins Plotts
how about bill hicks roughridge kennel plots?

I have a female out of the Nt Ch. rugged hills poacher dog, he's brindle in color......good tree dog, won't eat a bear, but bays tight......She's got a hotter nose on her.....All in all she is a nice little female, been a good one.

Pocahontas for sure. Owned several. See. A lot of em go on bear and coon. Definitely get the job done on mean or track star bear.
I have 2 male 14 months old Kenny Shelton Crockett bred they are out of is start dog blue mixed with a little Roy Stiles that are doing real good one is striking out of the box ahead of the old not Ill ride with anything I also have a 8 month female 3/4 Pocahontas 1/4 1/4 black tan that has been on 2 kills and her litter mates was on 200 pounder killed on the ground today just 2 more old dogs was with them
plotts
I recently had a Pocahontas gyp that would flat get it done. If I was going to get another that's the way I would look. She ran to catch and was a blow down tree dog.
Like others, I really like Pocahontas dogs for bear.
Been burning the hair off the bear with those Pocahontas plotts
