Hunting in Ohio
A friend and I are planning on making a trip up north. We will be coming around November 12th for a few days. We would like to stay in the southern part of the state, but that's not a have to thing. We don't really know anyone up there so I have been looking into public land to hunt. Can anyone tell me about the Cooper Hollow or Waterloo WMA's? We are only planning to bring two young dogs around 15 months old.

You can't buy a weekend pass in OH for hunting coon. You have to buy a yr non resident hunting lic, and fur taker permit. That's right around $150 per person. I would not even think about hunting state land without it.

Yeah. We plan on buying our license. So do you know anything about hunting in those areas?

It has plenty of places to hunt for coons. Ithe has a bunch of water and they plant food plots for birds and they hold a bunch of coon.
Thanks for the replies. What is the terrain like in these areas? Is it rolling hills or kind of flat? Also I've been looking on google map at some of these locations and it looks like it's broke up well. Are there roads cut through these areas or do you have to park in designated areas?

Southeastern Ohio is not flat. Mostly hollars. Good timber some places have roads, some places you get in the middle of it you are a couple miles from a road

Tranquillity
I hunted Tranquillity for 30 years.Rolling hills and thick underbrush. You can tree several coon there ,but sometimes you have to take a number to hunt. Its like the rest of the state land ,all the hunters are congregated in these areas on count of so many land owners dont allow hunting
