AT STUD: Dual Grand Blue Iron Brummy HTX

I've been on about a year long sabbatical from coon hunting due to getting divorced. For some reason the "old" thread I had on Brummy you can't post on anymore, Allen said it had something to do with the size of it. Brummy is still here siring pups and in good health.

I've been out of the loop so to speak for the last year or so but I'm starting to get the itch again.

UKC, PKC and AKC Registered

Some of Brummy's bigger wins are as follows.

2009 6th place Registered at the GA State Hunt

2011 5th Place Night Champion at National Bluetick Days

King of Hunt at the 2011 BBCHA Sectional at Roberta,GA

2012 Winter Classic Cast Winner

2014 Grand American Cast Winner

2012 Autumn Oaks Warm up Slam, Final 4

King of Hunt and Overall Saturday night High Scoring Dog at the 2012 BBOA Zone 6 Championship

Top 100 Finalist of the 2012 UKC World Hunt

Qualified for the 2013 UKC World Hunt.

2013 National Bluetick Days, Double Cast Winner, King of Hunt and 1st Place GRNITECH Saturday night

Brummy is a get deep in a hurry get struck and get treed kind of dog, he has no reverse and everything he does is in overdrive. 1st strike and 1st tree dog in most company. Good cold nose and knows how to move a track. Good bawl mouth on track, he comes on the tree with a nice locate and has a nice hard ringing chop on the tree. He likes to be by himself but doesn't have to be. He is a stay put pressure tree dog that will have the meat.

If I didn't think he had something to offer the Bluetick breed I wouldn't be advertising him. I'll show him any way you want to see him go, my place or yours.

Stud Fee: $250 or possibly a pup deal depending on the bitch.

I got a pup off Brummy last January and he has done nothing but please me. He's been the easiest starting best pup I've ever had. He started treeing them alone at 6 months old and he's 11 months old now and he just keeps getting better. He's a get deep and lonely first strike and first tree dog just like Brummy and he almost always has the meat. I've had no problems at all with him wanting to run trash game he's just been a natural with a head full of brains and looks to go with it all. I've been very pleased with him. He's made me a Brummy fan.

I'm glad to hear Ricky is doing a good job for you, Gabe told me there are several off that cross that are making nice hounds.

I talked to Robert Wethington in NC a few days ago, he owns Sarah off BrummyXJudge Judy (Gauge), he said she's really turning the crank and plans to hit the hunts with her this fall.

Travis Saunders has a littermate to Sarah he calls Emma that he says is a nice female, she's got some PKC money won. He bred her to Brandon Gudgeon's Tramp a couple of weeks ago.

Curtis Todd has done a lot for Brummy and myself through the years and has been a good friend. I'm glad to see the success he's had in the hunts with Whip and now with a pup off Whip, Evil coming along strong.

Thanks for the kind words bud. We had some good times running up and down the road with Brummy and as far as a coondog goes, he's my measuring stick. I'm thankful I have my own slice of him through Whip and a quarter slice through Evil lol.

He's a nice dog for sure. I know he's getting older and I hope some more people get some like him. If I had the time and place to hunt I would be looking for a nice one off Brummy. I hope you have him collected.

Also this is just a blue collar working man's dog. No big time backers, handlers running him all the time, etc. He just gets it done. I've enjoyed all the times I've been with him. Never failed to tree some coons and it sure was a good show the night I guided your cast. All three of the other dogs were treed and Brummy was no where to be seen. Them boys thought they were on something and they thoughr they done got one over on Brummy! Looked up and there was ol slick tail looking back. No wonder Brummy wasn't under that tree! He wasn't there to tree possums! Didn't take long before he located further down in there and treed the coon by his lonesome!

Good luck and look forward to see some more offspring. I have halfway kept up with some of them since I have been out of hunting and they seem to be just like their sire.

Tree Blue!

GrNtCh Whip

We had a good cast Friday night. It started off a little shakey but Whip did what he was supposed to do. He split on a nasty with a circle tree and took a 2nd and 1st on a coon to win with +200. It was a nasty rainy night but we pulled it out. I'm very proud of him.

Now it's time to foucus on his offspring starting with Evil. I plan on pushing him super hard this kill season and having him ready for his next hunt, 2016 Grand American.

A buddy of mine in South Dakota and myself are partnering up on a nice female off of GrNtCh Tucker's Boomer x GrNtCh Maple River Blue Lady. She has a 1st and she won her cast at Oaks this year in her first 4 hunts. The plan is to finish her to NiteCh and breed her to Whip.

Good to see you this weekend! I hope Ozzie enjoyed Kris' jalepeno cheese dogs! Looking forward to seeing some of these young hounds make some noise in the near future.

You and Kris better be glad he didn't decide to regurgitate those jalepeno dogs in the car on the way home! It was good seeing you too, you need to come south one weekend this winter.

Ozzie is getting adjusted pretty good to the deep south. He's been hunted a dozen times now, 9 of which were up north and 3 have been down here in the last week. He's still very green and has a lot to learn but he's got the tools to be something special I think. I'm as exited about coon hunting as I've been in a long time.

Ozzie's first GA coon, 10-14-15 (terrible picture, the laptop wasn't working right so I took a picture of the picture with my phone)

I met Roho Carlise at Big Lazer WMA Tuesday night for a hunt, he brought Brummy and I took Ozzie. On the first dump Brummy and Ozzie got through the country deep and wound up split. Both had big dens. On the second dump we cut Ozzie alone and he struck a good track and treed with a coon. Ozzie is still green and has been hunted very little so far but I'm really enjoying him.

JUST FOUND THIS NEW THREAD

Ozzie looks good! He is colored how I prefer.

I believe I missed your birthday? If so, happy belated birthday!

If you know of anyone looking for some Brummy blood further north of ya, send them my way. I generally don't advertise pups till they're live and well, but Travis said Emma is getting pretty plump and not due for 3 weeks yet. Travis asked me to help him spread the word when the time comes, so get a hold of me and I can get you in touch with Travis.

Travis brought her up to go hunting when we bred them, and she could eat my food any day.
