Bow is all coon dog, I spectated on his cast Friday night at Oaks and he put on a coon treeing clinic. He is a fine hound and if you are looking a dog to breed that fine female to, you won't go wrong with Bow and you won't find a nicer person to deal with than Allen.

Good pedigree too!

Besides some of the best Fireball breeding, it goes back to my Timber Jack top and bottom through Hazel and Ice. Hazel was out of my Nt.Ch. Mace female who was out of my Nt.Ch. Annabelle x Gr.Nt.Ch. Timber Jack. Mace was the fastest and hardest going dog I've ever hunted and was NOT a pleasure dog. Her momma Annabelle was one of the best I've ever hunted.

Annabelle was a Woodpecker dog and was fast on both ends, strike and tree. She should have been finished to Gr.Nt.Ch. easily but I was busy in college when she was in her prime. She still managed to beat some of the biggest names in the Purina Race when she was 5-6 years old, including the overall Purina winner in 1986.

I sold Mace to Bruce Babbs after losing her a few nights in the hills of Winona, MN. She needed to be in flatland country to keep up to her. One of the first things he said to me was, oh man this dog is FAST! He bred her to his Fireball dog that produced Hazel. Hazel was fast on both ends too and Bruce and Mike Wright both said she was the real deal. I really think this is the kind of speed and hunt the redbone breed needs right now to compete in the bigger hunts.

Joe Melton and I had a great talk at ARCA Days this year. I think we both appreciate now what both Fireball and Timber Jack have done for this breed. Fireball x Timber Jack has worked well.

Congrats to Allen and Bow for a great showing at AO. Keep that dog in the hunts and make em see red.

I have heard

that Bow is extremely loud, and he looked really good at Autumn Oaks. This hound should be bred to some really nice female. He has some other brothers that are top hounds as well, Ruger and Busko to name a few.

That should be a good cross Hicks! Does he have any older pups that have been worked. We've been aware of Bow for some time now,I've heard he was a good one.I really like how he's bred,I'm familiar with his top and bottom in the woods, good stuff.

Check with Allen, I think he has a female around 2 years old.

Posted by Beast on 09-13-2015 10:55 PM:

Mr Ron Swan has a female that just turned 3 out of Bo and Gr Nite Ch Thompson's Circle T Zoe. I hunted with her last year and really liked her. Beautiful big bawl mouth. When Mr Swan sold his dogs a few months ago she is the only one he would not sell.

Bow X June

I just picked a pup up from an old friend of mine off this cross. The main reason I picked up this pup is because I owned a female directly off of Babbs Hazel. I have hunted redbones since the early 80's and she was the best I've ever owned. To describe her she was a 2nd or 3rd strike dog and a first tree dog. She wouldn't open on track until she had lined it out and she was a drifting type dog. She had a medium nose and was dead accurate. She had a good mouth that I would call average. She was a all night tree dog that could wind a coon setting up 60ft. I had a few wins on her before she was hit and killed on the road at 5 yrs old. Her sire was Hatchie River Diamond Ace. This pup I have is 6 months old and a ball of energy. She has a great mouth on her that has me excited. I have only had her a few days but she seems to be smart. If you have any info on the June dog please fill me in on her. Thanks Robert
