Quick-Track Omni

I know it's new, but was wondering if any of you have ever seen one of these in action? The concept sounds great, tracking a dog on your cell phone with unlimited range, but I have concerns. What happens when you lose service? Does cell reception affect how fast the system updates?

I also wonder if these will be legal to use in a nite hunt, being that your phone is your tracking system.

I expect that in the future, this system will rule but not today. Losing cell service is no big deal. Losing my dog is a big deal.

.

Pretty interesting. Some questions need to be answered but it uses cell phone service and MURS signal if the cell phone service is not available. The range of the MURS signal is unknown to me at this time but the system seems interesting. I think the maps available for smart phones and tablets beat the heck out of GPS maps and a lot easier to use.

I hope we can use Google's satellite imagery. And I hope we don't have to pay a subscription fee to use it on r smart phones.

Just read up on it. Looks neat, time will tell.
