Ukc

I understand yalls privacy policy. BUT I have been tryin for a year or more to get in contact with breeder of the dog I have now. Mainly to let him know how she is doing and also to see if he has any thing else he would be willing to sell or if he was going to breed again. I would def. Be interested in a pup.
That being said ukc will not give me any kind of info. Regarding the breeder.
I have tried every thing else that I could think of by posting on here and googling it. No luck.
I see yall giving me a contact number would be more money for ukc.
Just curious as to why it's that way. I'm sure I'm not the only person in this situation! I'm not meaning this in a bad way towards ukc just curious.
Any info would be appreciated!

I'd say they can not give out any info because of THE PRIVACY ACT LAW,,that would be my guess

Privacy policies exist for many reasons, the main one being to protect from liability. This is just one example...you contact thru e-mail or a public forum and request contact information regarding an individual.
A company cannot take a chance that you are {or are not} who you say you are. You could be a bill collector or someone looking to commit a crime against the person you are seeking to contact. If that information is given out, information that because of what I just wrote needs to be held in confidence and the person requesting it is not who they say they are and really want to "contact" the other party for a less than upstanding reason then UKC can be held liable by the party they "gave up."
Sounds a little out there??? What if they gave your contact info to the people that seek to steal your identity or kidnap your child??? No so far out there when you look at it that way.
I totally get that you just want to get another dog or talk about the one you have to the breeder, but UKC doesn't have any way to confirm that and cannot take that chance.

If the dog has $kc papers, info should be on those

Why is it UKC's responsibility to give you contact information? Why didn't you keep the information of the person yourself?

Home to a bunch of short dogs who occasionally allow me the honor of holding the other end of their leads!

I have wondered this myself I have asked them to give me information on dogs locations on dogs were I was the breeder no dice !!

You don't have to get info from UKC. You can just Google anyone that you want and get all of their info. You can get anyone's life history off the interweb now.

Tried

All I have is a name for this breeder. Google gives me 100 or More names.
Don't even know what state he lives to narrow the search.
As far as keeping the information for myself from him. I did not buy the dog from the breeder. Was sold a time or 2 between me getting the dog. All I have is name of breeder on the papers.
The dogs were only reg. As ukc. No other KC has any info of dogs being registered.
But I understand the privacy thing. Bout not knowing me for joe blow wanting to steal identity and what not. Just iterating on my part.
