Lock Box

I have a 9 or 10 month old pup out of Lock Box just wandering what to expect. what kind of drive how wild are they when young

Mine is almost 2. I wouldn't consider him "wild", nor hyper. But, I would say he is by far the most anxious dog I've ever had. Meaning he just goes absolutely nuts when it's time to go hunting. Very smart dog. Learns quick. Most I've heard of are around 2nd to 3rd strike dogs and 1st tree dogs. Coming on the tree with a nice locate and steady chop on the tree. I've heard that a lot can bark their mouth out when young. Mine lost his some back during the winter. He also went crazy with barking a couple of months ago when I had a female in heat. I think it may be permantly damaged now. I can still hear him, but it's not nearly as loud and clear as before. I hunted a box female for a couple of weeks with my male and I couldn't tell them apart in the woods. Sounded identical. If ole hoss sees your post he will probably comment. I think he's hunted more box dogs than anyone out there. If I had clubs close to me I really think mine would be at least a nite champion /champion and a pkc champion. Good luck with your pup.

Thanks for the reply. My next question is how is he bred? I would like to see his pedigree if anybody has it.

Thanks I sent a text for pics and video. My next question is how quick do they usually start?
