I have made up my mind that I am going to hunt this female until she either going to make a sure nuff coon dog or I'm going to quit hunting, and she must don't won't me to quit because she is finally kicking it to another level on those bad tracks. She may never be a top-notch bad track driving hound but she is moving them better, and she may not open on the track until she gets it up and running but she will go hunting and find a coon track and put it to a tree and she is actually a pretty accurate tree dog, And a stay put tree dog, with a voice that carries a long way. And best of all I can call her in when ever I am ready to go. I'm going to try to see how she fair in some pkc hunts since I won't be hunting ann for awhile. Rebelet should do good on having plus point just concerned about getting struck and she won't cover a dog unless they get struck right off. I hunted her last night treed one about 80 yards off the road then work one for over a hour and got it up and running and treed for a hour before I could get close to her but couldn't get close enough to her to shin her tree. Guess I'm getting a little older than I thought, I came across 6 snakes on my way to her and got a Lil bit shaking up. But I'll get back to it.

I took a ride up north and hunted with a good friend Jackie Cupit and Don morgan, I enjoy tailgate hunting up there we can just about drive around in the truck, First drop we cut rebelet and Don, babe female along side a lake and hard wood mix with pine, babe open about 225 on back side of the lake rebelet open 360 the other way babe treed for 10 min. Before we went to her found her at a big gum tree no coon, went back to the truck and road around the other side a found rebelet still working her track about that time she was about 500 yards on a small branch, so we road back around and got closer to her and she was treed right off the branch, no coon seen, we loaded up and put out again and they split up right out of the truck both of them was opening up good on track and neither one quit there track babe got treed 600 yards and rebelet stayed on her track until she couldn't get it to move out or tree, babe did get tree alone and we didn't find her coon but we enjoyed the hunt and we call it a night around 11 45 and hot.

80 degree la.heat
I left home Tuesday night to take rebelet alone by the time I got half way to the woods it started raining and it drop the temp down a Lil lower,so I went into the corn. Soon as I pulled up and cut her loose she took of down in the corn, she was rolling one and 8 got back in the truck and listen She took it into a big canal about 10 feet deep full of blackberry and that coon got way ahead of her and I saw the coon coming out going back into the corn. I called her to me and walk her down down where the coon cross and the race was back on and she treed a coon when they came out in to a soybean field. She treed. It took me about 20 rounds to get him and he jump out and the race was back on into the corn they went until the track just played out. So I call her out to me. On my way out to the truck I spotted 3 sitting in a cypress tree down side the corn. I pull up next to the tree and squall a Lil and one came out and the race was on down the byou and she tree him and I went and put him down to her.. when I made it back to the truck it was 12 30 and 80 degree. But listen to her made me won't to keep hunting but I shut it down came on in. Didn't hunt last night but I'll be in the woods tonight.

Me and my buddy rook rebelet and his old dog down in a hardwood bottom, we had to walk about 150 yards from the gate down a hill u don't won't to go up after u finish hunting but we couldn't ride a bike. Rebelet and his male smells a coon and goes crazy but we didn't cut from there we walk on another 100 yards and we cut, his dog went on in deep, and rebelet cut back and went back up the hill and ran that coon a short piece. She came treed and I walk back to her and wow. We are in the south but she was treed up on a cliff that I had to climb about 60 yards up from the road. We was hunting in a place we call the swamp and when the Mississippi River is up it back up in the swamp for months before we can hunt the river gets up to 15 feet before the river crest. But she had the coon. Got her off that tree and recur and his dog was across the lake and we call him out. Recut them both but didn't do much but walk in a lot of Mudd so we call them out and went home.
Sleepy.

sleepy you going to have to come over and hunt with me next time we get a rain. I went last night and made 3 trees and looked at 2 coon and never walked over 50 yrds. I sure would like to see rebelet work one and tree it. i'll call you next time I'm off and it rains. we can hunt in the heat if you want but mine too fat to take the heat.
No problem at all just give me a call any day after the 4, u are just a bridge apart. Can't promise u that she is going to allow you to hear her work a track unless it's a hot or mid.track but it can promise u she will put on a loud hard treeing show with a coon. Not sure how long I'm going to hunt a Simi tight dog, but I will bring her and make a hunt. Hunted her last night me a.j. and Tommy, he told me it can't call him mr.tommy any more, lol. But she did get treed with a coon.

gaurantee we will hit some hot tracks either at the feeders or on our four wheeler roads, and it usually only takes about 5 to 10 minutes to strike at the most.
That sounds good, it may even help me to make my mind up to keep her until the fall. And hunt my 5 month old pup with a strict dog, before I move her own up the road. She would make a outstanding dog up north where their are more coons and less trailing.

I enjoyed the hunt last night I was almost ready to hunt all night riding round on the passenger side, and walking less than 50 yards to any tree. Still made it to work for 6 am fresh and ready to drive. Must go again soon if this weather permit. Rebelet may eat another bag of feed if she open on track like she did on the first coon we look at. But not going to hold my breath. Until the next time.

you would have had a hard time bringing her home with you if she would have barked on track cause she had both the coons we looked at by herself. enjoyed the hunt also went a new battery yesterday for the rhino.
Lol . Rebelet is going to be a real nice dog, I was going to let a guy take her and try her out but haven't heard back from him.
Hunted her last night and treed two and it was some working tracks and she open good on them once it was moving. Since my Ann female is heavy with pups so I'm going to hold on to her until she drops and I no she will be ok.
I'm glad that rhino keep starting up. But I've been on a long walk before, I'll be ready to go one night next week.

Rebelet
Took reb. Out for the first time since she been out of heat good. It was 80 degrees last night and I cut her out on a woodland between two corn field and the first track was cold and she open on it some to surprise me and work it into a huge oak on the edge of the line, we shine a while but couldn't find nothing, we cut lose from there and she struck a good track and trail a Lil ways down and circle back and came treed with a coon looking at me when I got to the tree, Her first coon shot out two her and we rode down 80 yards and cut again and she stuck another bad track and work into some bad stuff on a slough between a corn and sow bean field and treed where the coon must have went up and I found a coon sitting in a tree on the other side of it. After that it was 84 degrees and I was soak, and call it a night. And we will try again tonight.

No problem, Tommy have plans to be there.
Took rebelet to a pkc hunt last night, she struck third and the other dogs took a track deep and rebelet went in a ways and split up from them left handed and treed alone with less than one min. Left coon found, while we were shinning the tree the other dogs was treed , dog struck first had a coon and dog struck 2 didn't find the coon, one hour hunt, .
The last few hunts I been own has really have me not won't to hunt in them do to the Garmin use in the hunt. This rule needs to be look at, I've seen more hunters looking at the Garmin and hear a dog but can't really tell if there dog is treed but when the Garmin show treed and dog is been there a while hunters are treeing there dog from 800 yards away while they may be shinning a tree, (jmop).
