Looking for a competition dog for my daughter

We are from Louisiana and would like a dog that is at least two years old so that all the bad habits are broken must heel. I don't care the price must be a good dog. And you must be willing to show the dog in the woods as I'm hard to please. Don't want a dog from up north. And don't really want to drive to far thanks in advance. What's wrong with dogs from up North?

One the thing is I want a trained dog and a trained dog from up north will chase a possum and armadillo and second I don't want to drive that far
