The SNIPER reflector was recently tested and certified to be capable of LUX reading in excess of 160,000. It is SUPER BRIGHT and is as bright or brighter as any light on the market. To get these kind of Lux numbers two things must be done. One, The LED must be de-domed this is a physical change in that the protective dome over the LED is removed. This is what is done to provide the yellow tint you hear about. Two, The LED must be severely overdriven. At Bright Eyes we want your light to last, we have modified LED's in everyway imaginable and driven them with many different drivers, The LED's simply will not hold up in the long run if de-domed and overdriven. The Led output will also decrease over time until it finally fails. We strongly recommend you go with the white LED for problem free service but if you just have to have it we will de-dome it for you to give you the yellow tint. Below is a photo for your reference of a SNIPER being measured at 149,100 Lux.




Bright Eyes introduced a wide angle(flood) walking light on out TRIFECTA model several years ago. We have been offering it as an option on the SNIPER for several months now. It is nothing new. The walking light on the SNIPER is the brightest in the industry. It also has a complete 4 position range so that you may adjust it to your liking. To be clear, The SNIPER is now available with two colors of your choice, you can get any combination of red, blue, green, amber or the brightest white walking light in the industry. And to top it off, You have a full range 4 position switch on all colors and the walk light. I almost forgot to mention that our color Led's are brightest you can buy anywhere.

The SNIPER is available in three different packages. Caplight- On your choice of bump cap or hybrid ball cap will a additional secondary Led light built into the cap.

Standard belt light- Same burn times as the Caplight but in a belt light.

SNIPER PLUS- Same brightness as the other two but twice the burn time in a great beltlight.

Hey Ray, if a Sniper is Not de-domed, what is the Max Lux on one like that ?
Do you have a picture of the Sniper Plus Belt Light ?

thanks for the explanation about the de doming. Some simply don't understand this. I would never want a de domed LED, but to each their own.
