Whose going to Eckhart Mines today?

My dog is going for a swim SOMEWHERE today LOL. Iv'e been kicking around all morning deciding if I want to go to Southfork PA. or Eckhart Mines MD. It's a little bit of a haul for me but I really like that pond down there in Eckhart. Just wondering if any of you Maryland boys on here are going to be there.

I would love to get up there, but I am currently still trying to recover from nearly bleeding out in the last few weeks. Got up one morning, started to brush my teeth and got a severe nose bleed that went on for a solid week. Went to doctors and they seemed like "oh well, it'll stop...eventually"
When it got so bad I was passing out I went to the ER and they acted the same way!!! They did do a blood test and say, "if you loose anymore blood get back in here for a transfusion." They referred me to a specialist who, after it stopped for a week and I was just starting to feel a little better, poked around and got it bleeding again...he even burned it shut.
I truly feel sorry for anyone that has a blood disorder if it makes them feel like this!!!! I can't walk ten paces without stopping to catch my breath. They said it would be 3 weeks to recover and get right.
Like I said, really wish I could be there...even if it turned into the worse hunt of my life it would be better than this!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you get that figured out soon that can't be any fun at all.
Good luck Buddy.

I ran down to Eckhart Ed. I was looking to get Hammer in a good water race for the day. You can't beat Eckhart for that they're pond is just about as nice as you guys have up there. Hammer didn't win he came in 3rd in his 1st heat. I didn't see any shame in it though he had some VERY good competition. The blue dog he lost to actually did win line/tree in the final.
He did win 1st line in the final of the field trial but he didn't really need those points (he has enough) he just needs final line/tree to make field ch. He gets line just about everywhere I take him he just has one bad habit he will stand under the coon and wait for his buddies to get there before he trees and those females get him in trouble allot to. I'm sure he'll get it some day though.
I'm looking forward to bringing him up to your club on the 14th. We always have a nice time up there.

Roger good meeting you there. That blue female made Cutter look like a rookie in that final heat.I think he was little tired from that first heat.

That was just one hot muggy day IMO My dog is usually a bundle of energy but he just didn't seem to have it sat. Like I said about my dog getting beat by her though I just don't think there was much shame in getting beat by that dog. She hit the water in high gear and was just a strong swimmer start to finish.
It was nice to meet you to Harvey I hope I run into you at another hunt some night. It would be nice to get cast with you.
