Iron Deficiency??

Has anyone ever had a problem with their hound licking and chewing on their metal kennels?? My female has been doing this for a while. She also have loose stool no matter what feed she is on and has only been in heat once. (She will be 3 this summer.) Other than that she seems healthy. I wondered if she had some type of Deficiency or if I should be giving her supplements or vitamins. Any input would be great! Thanks!
