I have rabbits everywhere and I sure hope they leave my plants alone.

Same here water just standing in the bottoms has been raining for what seems like weeks till yesterday no place for it to go but run into creeks and head to Oklahoma , sorry Okies you need our water like a hole in the head . My son's friend who lives 30 min west in Grove , Ok opened the gates on his yard fence because he could hear the catfish hitting it , caught some big ones off his back deck and was paddling his john boat around town . Tomato plants about 8in tall planning on a fall crop lol . I have 2 flats of tomatoes and peppers still not in the ground . Dad's big garden in the bottom has had the north end in standing water for awhile now .
Chey doesn't do BLT's but eats the heck out of my salsa . Myself I look forward to fresh tomatoes all year .

Won't be long in Piedmont NC, got a few green ones iv been watching every day. Red tators already bloomed, put sweet tators in the ground this week.

A couple of them would be in the skillet by now if it was me watching them. I do like a good BLT but my favorite way to eat tomatoes is fried.

TOMATOES, CORN, Peas, ButterBeans, Okra etc.

We love Sliced Tomatoes & Vidalia Onion with Mayo on 2 slices of Bread in South Ga.
ALSO: Peel & Chop up Tomatoes in a small bowl. Salt, Pepper & a few Spoons of Mayo. Just before you eat crush up saltines on top. If saltines get to soggy as you go add more.
Glass of Sweet Tea to top them off.
Enjoy the Summer.

It's probably not the healthiest way to eat a tomato BUT

Did any of you ever try slicing a tomato and sprinkling sugar over it? My grandfather used to eat them that way it's actually pretty good.

I never have but I dont eat sweets and never have as long as I can rem. My papa would put sugar in his cornbread when granny would leave us their alone lol. I could not even handle that
