Opinions Needed
I'm wanting to get me a nicely breed Black and Tan. I would like to get some opinions on what's some good bloodlines and the good/bad of each?
Mike Crockett in Mississippi has some of the best
If you want to coonhunt, then go coonhunting with some dogs to form your opinion.
I'd suggest starting out close to home and working your way out until you hunt with something you like and then try to buy it or something bred like it. Good luck and good huntin'...

Buy you a Ky River Batman dog.
Forget the bloodlines. Imo find a started dog that suits you and buy it. You'll be money and time ahead in the long run

Doug A prolly has the best advice. Forget it's pedigree. Just find one that performs.

Look up Willard pray in Michigan or Ted feelers dogs or merold mohni with track down kennels , or d.w. Dixon in Kentucky with rock house Black and Tans the track down and rock house dogs are big game strains but far as I'm concerned and what I have seen of these other black dogs at the hunt none of which hold a candle to the track driving power or accuracy of them hounds j listed above I think more people should look at track down dogs they have no back up gear and run to catch and one of d.w. Dixons best quotes " the only super stakes needed with this line of hounds is the the one to hold game up with !" Lol
