Thank You Bruce Conkey

Yesterday I got an excited call from my 12 year old nephew in NC. He said I got a used garmin from onkeys and Mr. Bruce called me back personally, you would have thought the president called him. Guys remember when your in the spotlight little eyes are on you. Thanks Again

.

I haven't told your Nephew this yet as I was going to call him after he got out of school. Instead of sending him a used 220 and dc 30 collar I thought long and hard about it yesterday and last night and I am sending him a Brand New Garmin Astro 320 with T5 collar. It is back there boxed up and going out today.

Here is some History on dealing with this young man.

He has been calling the store about everyday or every other day for about two weeks now. Generally Corey or John has talked to him and we could tell he was a young man full of excitement. He kept saying he would call back and order and we told him we would be here when he was ready.

Yesterday he called from the School Bus and talked to Corey. I called him back and wanted to see how serious he was about hunting. He told me about his walker dog and his dads english dog and like most young men he was excited. It did my heart good talking to him. When he got home he called back and ordered a used 220 and Dc 30 collar. His Mom got on the phone to verify the order and we packaged it to send out. Lucky it was late in the afternoon and the product didn't go out yesterday. This morning when I got to the store I pulled the order and handed it to the first employee that walked in and said instead of sending this used system send the young man a new Astro 320 and T5 collar. Now I read this on here and know I made the right decision.
Thanks aspnecer and tell the family I appreciate them raising their Son to be a coonhunter!

Awesome gesture. Does wonders for the soul to know that there are still people that have some compassion and caring.

Go to the blue tick threads and read about Waldo Gray, if you think a "kid" won't remember. It's a great thing you did, Mr. Conkey.

I purchased a pair of hunting boots from Mr. Bruce a few years back. I looked them up on his web sight and called Bruce to buy the hunting boots. The price of the boots had changed to a higher price, but Bruce honored his outdated price that was a lot cheaper. If I need any hunting equipment in the future it will be from Mr. Bruce!!!!!!

Love it.

Brought tears to my eyes.

Don't buy a lot of stuff, but when I do this is where I go too

AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!! Makes the chills run up your spine. We had an 11 year old young boy tag along on a hunt this last Friday night. I didn't get much of the story on him, but in a nutshell, he was a pup that wasn't growing up in the best of kennels. You could tell this young boy wanted nothing else but to be in the woods. He was allowed to participate in judging the cast as well as calling a man's dog. He was having fun. At the end of the night I felt inspired to fold up some of the winnings and put it in his hands as I was leaving. It just felt like the right thing to do.
God Bless you Bruce.

Bruce, I will have my daughter call tomorrow to get me some things haha.
But on a serious note, thanks again for helping sponsor the Mountaineer Classic when we had it. You have made yourself my vendor of choice for all that you do.
