Dave Dean the Blue Tick man

What ever happened to Dave Dean the Blue Tick man?

I never had the pleasure to meet Mr.Dean but always took him as a class act.

No matter how much other people put down the Blue Tick hound
Mr.Dean never ever responded to any of the criticism.

He never took the bait just kept breeding the Hammer line of Blue ticks.

Thanks for the imformation Mr.Dean would have to be the oldest breeder of any breeder out there who has stuck with his breed for a life time and if i were going to hunt Blue Ticks why would any one go with any other bloodline except the Hammer line.

Maybe UKC's president is right about discontinuing Coonhound Bloodlines. Dave Dean writes a monthly article and has an add in it every month.

Dave is still at it he's up to hammer 24 now I beileve.. Still breeding and sellin his blue dogs.. Of course he hasn't titled any I think since hammer 19 or 21..
My dad is a bluetick man and always had a hammer breed blue dog.. My boy unfortunately lol wants to be like his paw paw n wants a blue dog instead of being like dad n hunting a Black and Tan.. Well paw paw and I made the mistake of telling him we'd get him one of he did good on school n well he has lived up to his end of the bargin so I'll be giving me dean a call soon and going back home to Michigan to pic it up..

Dave is a good man always honest and will help you anyway he can

Guess again three years ago he was up to Hammer 26. I believe Hammer 27 is in the works. He said he is still working on his vision of his Bluetick line. Fellas he is done yet. Hopefully getting another Hammer pup in July if the female took. Talked with him Early April and have not wanted to bother him much since.
