Shocker ?

I'm starting to wonder if my Trashbreaker isn't shocking hard enough.I can shock my dog on the highest setting which is 6.He won't even squall.Just flinches.Anybody even had that problem?

It might not be the shocker some dogs can take juice better than other dogs.

First I would say if you have it on 6 and there is just a flinch then something is wrong. The answer is in these questions.

1. Did he use to respond to it and if so at what number. If he use to respond to it and now no response something has changed and it isn't with the dog.
2. Has he never responded to it. Then I would go to the long prongs and make sure the collar adjustment is correct.
3. Do you just have a one dog system and is this the only collar not working.
4. Like mentioned you can stimulate yourself on #1 and you probably won't feel a thing.

Last but not least make sure it is full charged.

on 6, a dog should completely do a flip if they are running track.

Bruce this dog has always been tough as nails.He has never really reacted to the collar till I get to 4 and up.Im gonna try the long prongs.Hes got short hair but it's very thick.Ive tried several shockers on myself and my brother.We usually squall.lol

yes. try it on yourself. it wont kill you and you will find out if it is working correct. start on the low settings and move up if you can get to 6 your doing better then me!

Long prongs would be a good place to start and make sure the collar is snug. There is a fine line between snug and too tight so be careful, your dog will appreciate you.

The shock once you get use to doing it is more like a grabbing feeling than a shock. I fell into an electric fence this weekend that is run by a 150 mile power supply with 6 joules and averages 14,000 volts. When my hand first contacted with the wire it felt like a big BOOM or hard hit. Then as I scrambled to get away from it my shoulder got on it and it hit again. The funny thing is while this is happening I was hearing some ringing sounds and I still ain't sure if that was my cell phone in my shirt pocket, hearing aids or just me ringing. Next time I am working the fence line I think I am going to turn it off. Dr. been wanting to shock me for A-fib, might have cured myself.

Be sure your battery is good. Mine would work perfectly from 1 to 4. On 5 and six it would cut out. Too much current for the battery. I bought a new collar battery and that fixed it.

Longer prongs or make it tighter, it makes a big difference
