What's the largest litter you ever had
To my surprise I had a litter of 19 this past weekend. Just curious if anyone else has had anything similar in size? Never heard of a litter this big.

I had a buddy back years ago with a Plott female. She had three litters. Each litter was like 14 puppies. She was a small dog too, like 50 pounds if that. Just about every time 3 or 4 of them would die though. I don't think she ever raised a full litter and he even tried to hand feed them.
Years ago my wife's family bred their yellow female Lab to a black male Lab and she raised 16 black pups. I remember being shocked by the number of pups and that out of that many she didn't throw one yellow.

Had a female have 16 once and raised 13 of them.
There was an article in Coonhound Bloodlines years back of a female having over 20 pups, they bottle fed most of them. Maybe TK can find that issue and post it for us. I'm sure he's not busy anyway.

Congrats on your new pups!
Derek Metzler from Cambridge Springs, PA area had a litter of 17 out of his Skinny female a few years back, she had 8 live and the rest were C-Section babies I believe.
My biggest litter thus far was 12.

The biggest litter I have seen was 14 and all lived. The female separated the litter into 2 groups of 7. She would nurse one group and then get up and nurse the other group. She did this all on her own.

Years ago, there was a photo in the newspaper showing an American Foxhound female and her litter of 24 puppies!!
I am also aware of at least one St. Bernard that had a litter of 24...
