Let's help Sam Hodges!
Let's help Sam Hodges!
I know a lot of y'all know Sam Hodges and how great a friend and person he is. He's done so much for our sport and especially our youth so I wanted to post this. I'm sure he has no idea I'm posting this and not really sure how he would feel but oh well here goes nothing! Let's help Sam folks!
Sam shattered both feet and legs when he fell about 12-14' onto concrete and hasn't been able to hardly walk since then. It was in Oct 14'. They hoped they would heal on its own in cast but it hasn't and requires surgery for the ability to walk somewhat normal again. I don't know if he'll ever be %100 but this is all he can do. There is more info in the link at the bottom. Sam's wonderful wife has been his savior through this and is the one keeping things going on there little farm. Feed, feeding, chores and everything. She takes care of it all. She is truly a wonderful wife. Please just stop and donate if you can so that he can get this taken care of.
I dont know how he feels about me posting this but it will be a while before he can kick my butt so i hope he doesnt get too upset. Hes no charity case, but a true friend that has had a series of very unfortane events.
Sam if you read this..sorry if I said too much or asked to much. We love ya buddy and will be doing what we can.
I originally posted this in the Redbone section but posting it here hoping of more traffic. For those of you who don't know Sam he is a true houndsman and great man, mentor, and all around friend. He is truly what keeps this sport going. He is a Master of Hounds and is always the one helping youth. He is one that kept me in coon hunting and also got me crazy about deer dogs. He is the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back to help out. Words really cannot describe him. Even though I have had kids and don't hunt much I still keep in touch with Sam and visit when I can just because he is that good of a friend and person. If there ever was a person to help this would be it. I know times are tough but every little but counts. If 100 people through in $10 that would be $1000 and really what's that when its truly for a good cause and for someone who has promoted this sport and supported the youth in this sport like he has.
