I use a timex expedition wrist watch. It has a stop watch, countdown timer, indigo back light and a clock. It also has 3 alarms. About 50 bucks and I've had this for 10 years

A screw up on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

I looked and looked and looked and the one that did it for me is called "Accusplit Pro Survivor" You can find them on Amazon.com or ebay. It is very simple to use and takes the very common easy to find CR2032 battery. I think it was around $26.00 or so and it is large enough to read easy but not so big that you look like a rap artist carrying it.
The biggest thing about it and the biggest reason it caught my attention is the way the buttons are made. Most stop watches for some strange reason have buttons that are made to make a loud click noise when you push them...this causes the watch to fail too soon. The Accusplit does not have this function. It also is not backlit and when I asked about that they said they choose not to incorporate a back light feature because it killed the battery. At first I thought that might be a problem, but then who goes coonhunting without a $300.00 light anyways???? Good luck, hope this one does it.

I wonder why Conkey don't carry these things???

Bought this one a few months ago and it works great. Preset 2 hour countdown. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002D...&ref=plSrch

It sounds like you are getting ready to start comp hunting again.
Ironman wristwatch is great to use for hunt time countdown and back up stopwatch and use regular stopwatch for everything else.

.

The Ultrak 440 Professional Stopwatch is one a lot of vendors sell and they are generally around $20
Measures up to 10 hours
Presettable pacer
Presettable countdown timer
Time, day, and date
Four daily alarms
Hourly chime
Water resistant
5 year lithium battery
5 year warranty

The real reason for the post is to share an informational tip if you buy one. Most of them come from the Mfg. in the sleep mode. This means if started in the package the stop watch will operate and run but not at full speed. If you buy one from anywhere then please test it against a clock and if it is running slower just remove the battery for about a minute and reinstall.

I got my Acusplit survivor stopwatch from Stonecreek Hound supply. Those guys will have a trailer at Little Mountain Music hunt and PA. state hunt the following week for anybody coming out

I bought a stop watch at Wal-Mart before the first big hunt this year and it broke half way through. Now I cant judge anymore

You are missing the boat if you are serious about competition hunting and do not have a smart watch....

I wish I could still read something that small...I'd have one too. When you cant see the 1/8" tall numbers it don't do a lot of good.
