That's alright their how did you make them.

The one In the video has piping in the big cooler to slow the air down so it gets a colder charge. And the piping keeps the ice and water from going into the blowers and it has a drain for the condensation. If u build one with out piping the water will short out the blowers. You have to have two blowers, one pushing air and one sucking air. Then u need a 12 v thermostat and a way to wire it to the blowers.

The air going into the box on the video is 50 degrees . Almost as cold as air-conditioner in your car.

Oh my goodness, an air conditioner for your dog, what is the world coming to? I can still remember when my parents did not have an air conditioner for us kids. We just rode in the back seat with the windows rolled down.

In Texas it can be over 100 for 40 or 50 days in the summer and 120 in a dog box in the heat of the day . The dog will be ok going down the road but if u want to stop and eat or go to Walmart it's hard on them with this you can still do that in the summer .

I wonder how hard it is for them to stand on their hind feet barking every breath for 10-15 min in 90 degree temps?

Posted by h gatlin on 06-17-2015 09:13 PM:

This is meant as a convenience to the owner of the animal not necessarily the dog. Texas summer days generally reach around 100 degrees or more during the hot part of the day (12-5, not after dark) Statistics show that the inside of a car with outside temp of 100 degrees will reach 119 degrees in just 10 minutes, after an hour you are looking at 145 degrees. Continuing to climb about 4-5 degrees every 10 minutes. The boiling point of water is 212 degrees if that gives you any idea what could happen... The purpose of the ac is for inside a dog box inside the bed of the pickup with the tailgate closed. Treeing 10-15 minutes, outside with 90 degree temps with air circulation & IF it's still that hot after the sun goes down doesn't compare to this.

If you don't like the thread move along

U could probably put you some dry ice in them coolers and do away with everything but the pipe

Posted by h gatlin on 06-18-2015 03:13 AM:

Yes sir you are right. You would need to make sure the piping is airtight in the coolers because dry ice takes oxygen out of the air. It needs to be in a well ventilated area . If the fumes got in the dog box it might suffocate the dogs.
