Lost for Words

Last night. Took my pup and my older dog out. At the end of the night the worst could happen. My older dog got hit and died. I'm lost for words. All I can say he was a great dog and he will be missed.

I'm very sorry for your loss!
I can not believe the number of people I've heard about in the past few months that have had dogs hit on the road and other accidents while hunting. I even have one friend who's dog hung it's self on a tree last week. It's starting to feel like a bad omen for my own.

Man WV I'm so sorry to hear of you bad misfortune. I nearly lost my favorite hound one month ago today. As she laid there gasping I felt the pain and anguish and thought sure she was dead. My prayers were answered and she pulled through. So very sorry !!

I have had 5 killed while hunting,that is the worst feeling in the world, seein your hound mashed by a car or train, I have had both happen .

I am sorry for your loss but If you look at it like this your dog was a coon dog and he died doing what I am assuming he loved to do so he died happy if I die on my way to my dogs treed I know ill die with a smile and a happy heart

Sorry to hear about your loss,,it is very hard losing one to an accident while hunting,,I lost one to the road many many years ago and it is heartbreaking,,,hang in there,,just remember your dog for all the good times and memories he has given you,,again,sorry about your loss

Sorry to hear that. I lost a 5 yr old Saturday night to a car myself.
