There are many different factors that can go into this argument. CAIN and X Both seem to be reproducing well in their own aspects. But you can't argue these two when there's also exy, insane x, and tall timber little x. That's 5 brothers at stud off arguably the best cross of all time. So many factors come into play. By numbers exy is reproducing the best out of all of them. There is a big discretion on the quality of females that have been bred to each. In my opinion both seem to be dominating reproducers of specific traits. So to me it's not an argument based on which is a better reproducer. Yet it is an argument upon which stud is reproducing a high percent of the style of hound that one is looking for. I'm sure Mr. Turpin will answer any questions about CAIN pups. I will answer any questions on X pups that any has. I also can give out several numbers of people that own x pups. Rather than arguing which one is a better reproducer, I beleive that we should all take into consideration the tremednous influence this cross has had on the breed. In saying this I am also speaking for the great reproducing females off this cross. The X JR. x JANE cross will be the talked about cross such as the Harry x Abby, Harry x Witch, Rebel x Jodie, Sackett Jr. x Dixie, etc. for the next 10, 20, 30 years!

Numbers tell it all. The percentages are very close. Cain has also 3 times as many pups as X. But when you break down the percentage of titled its very close.

I have hunted with a couple out of Cain and different females that are coondogs! I have owned 2 males out of X and different females that 1 of them was a $KC State champion and the other was high scoring dog of a state hunt. I own a female out of X now that would take alot of $$ to buy! Is she that good , probably not BUT I like her! Also the thing to remember about X is that someone breed some cull females to him just to sell pups.

the good thing about the studs outta Xjr & Jane, is u can pick about any one of them to breed to and get good results.

I have a Cain female here at the house that can look average some nights, then some nights she will put on a show!!

I spectated a Nitech cast Saturday night at Walker Days, a male dog by the name of Major X, outta HighX won the cast by treeing the only two coon we seen.

Id take a pup of any the Xjr & Jane studs and a good female.

Call Chuck Schmersal and ask him what he thinks of his old High X dog.

NUMBERS are almost identical. Seems to me that Cain throws more tree minded as to where X throws more track minded dogs. Choose which ever you feel compliments your female the best. BOTH dogs reproduce. All the brothers to. Exy is on the reproducers list.

Here were i live pups come in waves you know whats hot! Well ive yet to see a hi x pup but have seen cain, insane x, extreme x, and they all seem the same a buddy of mine has a cain dog hes high on but has issues i dont like and is 50% at the very best. but they have good mouths most have been black headed not mean the accuracy may be a handler issue but the tracking is were i am not sure of with the ones ive seen but they seem to good on a mild or better track of course that may be the way they are hunted as well.

I am hunting a female off Cain right now that is one of the most accurate dogs I've hunted with in a long time. I don't own a hair own her. But I have hunted with dogs off of high x and Cain personally I'd say you couldn't go wrong with either. Depends on how far your willing to travel or if you want to do ai. If you can go hunt with the off spring of both. Just remember make your own decision certain individuals that have a stud dog on this post have some things against high "x" owner but I wouldn't be scared to buy a pup out of either but I will never own one off the other stud dog not seen a dog I liked yet.
