smallest line of curs
just wondering what the smallest line of curs was I really like the bigger fiest but just not many seem to be breeding the type I am looking for. I want a dog around thirty pounds that uses its nose to get treed not just sight and hearing

The Stephens Curs that are heavy JR bred will be smaller for exactly the same reason that many of the streak bred OMCBA dogs are.

quote:Yeah, I grew up and hunted with the prominent breeder that was responsible for the smaller line of Stephens. He lived about 3 miles from me.

I think you will see most of the ones that isn't yaller or isn't ring necked have pretty good ear on them. But then some people do like a little bird dog in there cur also.

I hunted
with the vice president of the stephens association this weekend, the ones he had probably were 30-35 pounds real sharp lookin dogs... he knows a good dog too... so I'd say they would hunt
Clint used to hunt with the guy I was talking about also. He hunted the OMCBA dog he owned I think.
