Larry Piggot

The Bluetick world lost one of the greats this week. Larry owned and bred some of the best blueticks in the east. He owned blueticks for the better part of 50 years and owned dogs that I would have killed to own. He was one hell of a nice guy and was as passionate about coon hunting and especially bluedogs as anyone I have ever known. Chances are if you have owned a good Bluetick larry had some help in that bloodline along the way. He was a great man and will be missed by many! If yall could say a prayer for the friends and family it would be greatly appreciated.

I've known larry for several years now and seen him in town all the time last summer he stopped by and he wanted to look at my hounds and talk dogs and every time I'd see him in town we would always stop and talk to each other he was a great guy and he will be missed....I had a old brush creek blue dog that larry was dying to breed to but we never got a chance to make the cross he was wanting to make there is still some of Larry's bloodline right around my house my neighbor has 3 and a buddy has a female and some grand pups and my boss has 1 that goes back to his stuff but not much left of it larry will be missed

Today was Larrys funeral and I was humbled at the pictures of the hounds he used to have. I have heard several stories about his old blood that he had and I have had some dogs from him. I am picking up one of his last two this weekend. He was a great guy and I just hate to see his line come to and end. What's your name ole buddy ? I'm from buckhannon as well
