would this be a conditional entry?

I have a first and two second place wins on my dog, I'm heading to leopard days and have not gotten my new paperwork from UKC will I have to pay the extra $5 for all 3 hunts?

I get this whole conditional entry thing...and I don't have any problem waiting up to say 30 minutes to go to the woods. Lots of times if you wait a little the coons will be walking more. I do believe we should look at a rule that says if a club wants to take conditional entries for handlers that are just late the other hunters that have to wait should have the option of getting their money back and leaving if they don't want to wait. Holding up $60.00 to get $20.00 from your late {probably to everything he does} buddy is ridiculous. If a club gets into this habit for a few individuals, and it's always the same ones, they will quit when they see it costs them more cater to a drag tail.
Also, this has been discussed before...is it really a rule that the money has to be paid before the deadline??? How would UKC know and why would anyone else care if it was paid hours later????

Good grief........how is it that this issue just can't seem to be understood? Todd K has been on here time and again, as recently as yesterday, and has explained the conditional entry thing numerous times. It is really very simple. It means that you can enter without showing the MOH your Easy Entry card or your reg papers if you pay an extra 5 bucks. That is all it means. It doesnt mean you can enter late. It doesn't mean you can call in your entry and pay when you get there. And how in the world does this " I don't mind waiting 30 minutes " stuff keep coming up. There is no grace period. There are no late entries.

UKC was foolish to ever open up this can of worms in the first place. They had the best intentions, but as they say, no good deed goes unpunished. The punishment being these weekly questions on here about, "Can I enter late with the new rule?", "Can I call my entry in?", Can my buddy enter my dog if I pay when I get there?" No, no, and no. A dog can be entered and paid by anyone BEFORE DEADLINE without the EE card or papers. That's it!

Strauser, I may not be correctly understanding your question but if your dog has a 1st and two 2nds, then it is a Nite Champion. So if your are concerned about not having your new EE card saying NtCh, not to worry. You just mark your entry slip as entering a NtCh dog and that takes care of it. See you at Leopard Days.

I don't think so. I bought my nite champion male three weeks before English days and planned on going so I didn't send out his papers. even though I bought him with his original papers that said he was a registered dog, UKC at English days said we'll take your word for it when I was entering him as a NITECH. granted I had his nite champion degree certificate in my hand at the time, but they didn't care to look at it all. They just took my word for it.

never know though,.... I did the same thing the next week at a small club, and they had their magnify glass all over his nite champion degree certificate matching up numbers and names

guess I'll just tote my win slips along just in case.

Actually, you don't have to prove anything. It is up to the entrant to get their dog in the right class. UKC doesn't care what class you hunt your dog in, if you get the dog in the wrong class, you simply don't get any credit for the win.

You may use your "Registered" Easy Entry Card until you receive your updated Nite Champion Card.
