Catching coon
I been trying to catch coons to move them to my hunting spots and turn out for my pup but I can't seem to catch not a one. Can anyone tell me Sharon doing wrong..?
Try throwing a blind robbin or two in with what ever your using for bait. The smell draws them in quick.
Another good bait is marshmellows smeared with penutbutter.

I use canned cat food with great results.
This time of year the best set locations are near den sites such as large den trees, barns, and abandon houses. The boars travel from den tree to den tree looking for sows. If there is snow on the ground you will sometimes see a coon trail going from one den tree to another.
You have to set almost on top of the locations. Hormones have their minds on other things rather than their belly.

chunk style dog food works good for me.place some in the back of trap and little on the ground in front of it.birds wont eat the chunk size
Golf ball, ping pong ball, marshmellows, anything white really.
Coon Bait
Old smelly soured corn that has been soaked in water for several days works good for me...

If it is not below freezing outside the absolute best working bait to use is fresh watermelon if you can get it. No B.S., they will risk anything to get to the flavor. Next in line, or if it is freezing is anything sickening sweet. Cake, pie, donuts...jelly smeared on a slice of bread.
Fish and cat food type baits work too, but the problem I had with them is that you catch everything else in the woods, cats, possums and Pepe. Nothing worse than walking into a trap with the door down expecting to have a nice big ole coon and its a big fat skunk just a dancin' on his hind feet eyeballin' you takin' real nice aim!!! They don't seem to go for the real sweet stuff as much around here.

It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it.

Save a coon hunt a walker
Had the best results using jelly packages
from fast food restaurants. Just squeeze
one on trip pan, split a couple more packs
drop them on pan area. There free and
have never caught a opossum with jelly.
Ive live trapped probably 100 coons with grape jelly over the years.
well hello barry whitten from a long distance cousin from the Barzillia Graves Whitten clan in texas lol
