I talked to Bob McKown last evening he said the Ashland Spring hunt has been going on since 1968. He thought it moved one year and came back. 46 years is amazing.Bob is a die hard BLUETICK MAN and I enjoyed talking to him. This is a great hunt if you can make it you will be glad you made the trip.

Matt this is a good post This is one of the biggest Bluetick Hunts around.It take s a good Hound to win here.Last i knew they draw one hundred fifty dogs on friday.About a hundred on sat.nt.people from Pa. Wv.and all over the East come here.Met one fellow that came from Prince Albert Island .Canada.there once.Hoping you all have good weather for it..

Im hoping for some good weather. I did a 10 day forecast and it said 42 for a high and 29 for a low. I ve seen it in the 60 s. Most all the snow should be melted off before the hunt. Plenty of parking and a lot of room in the building. Always Hot Coffee and Food.
Make plans to be there. I hope to see a good showing of bluetickers.Should be couple venders there.

The moon will be down,good chance coon will be moving good and prolly some good scores will be turned in. Ashland club has a lot of local guides. They do use the holmesville club as a satellite club which is about 45 min drive.

Looks like 52 Friday and 60 Saturday. Around 30 for lows both night. Ought to be great Blue Dog weather. I hope to see meet you all there!!!

Congratulations To all the cast and Show Dog Winners this year at Ashland Spring Hunt.
I really enjoy seeing a lot of my friends and Their were a few that usually show up that couldn't make it this year. I seen a lot of good hound work personally Friday night.I judged the Grands? Scored on 9 coon. Not one 2nd tree in the cast. John Godi had a score of 425 no minus for the cast win. Thank You to the fine men in my cast diffently good sportsman and a fun cast to be on.Thank You Guys. Guide had the coon. This is a fun event I hope to see you all next year.
