Kentucky Houndsmen Association - Hound of the Year Awards

The KHA held its annual banquet the 21st of February and awarded honors to top hounds and youth handlers. This was first year we ran the KHA Coonhound Event Awards Program; keeping track of hound wins for an overall title for the year. We also had a special award for Youth Handlers as well.

Coonhound of the Year Honors
The owners of these hounds received a diamond plated dog box, BOSS Light and a specialty plaque.

Our Nite Hunt Coonhound of the Year for 2014 is:
Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch PR Trick Magic
Owned by Mike Wilson, handled by Boo Yocum

Our Confirmation Coonhound of the Year for 2014 is:
Ch PR Canyon Creek Little Meggie
Owned and handled by Steve Randolph

Youth Handlers of the Year
These youth each received a $500 scholarship, hunting light and a specialty plaque.

Nite Hunt Youth Handler of the Year for 2014:
Kelly Johnson Jr

Confirmation Handler of the Year for 2014:
Whitley DeVary

The 2015 points championship kicks off in May with the Southern Ky Championship. Summersville Ky.
