What is he bred like? How good is he night after night? How consistent is he about winning casts. Will he be hunted in the Bear Creak Classic?

That can happen all too easy to a feller Johnny! I hope ole Poncho goes to someone that will continue to promote him. In the Bluetick breed, promoting a stud is definitely a LABOR OF LOVE

On a side note, I was curious if you have kept up with any of the offspring from the cross of Poncho x M. Leck's Reba gyp? That was one that had my eye & interest. Sorry for sidetracking your post.

Poncho is gonna have a running buddy- Me and my son plan on continuing to run them both- He has a kennel next to ZERO. I'm curious how they will stack up against each other!

yes he does. you are correct about the moving foward. i think that will be another good cross to keep in mind. Since his Hoss dog throws a 3 gen ped all grand and when finished she will be like your other male and throw a 4 gen all grand.

thats pretty cool. thats not something you could find very often not so many years ago.

i know titles dont make coon dogs but i do know the titled dogs in those and yours pedigrees are coon dogs, so why not try to have titled coon dogs. im just thinking out loud.

we just bought a grnt female and i will be talking with you about breeding to him.

Good deal, How close are you to little Souix Iowa?? Been wanting to connect w/ some coonhunters there.

I have been coming up and Bowhunting off the Missouri river between Iowa and Nebraska for many years now. I actually just got a deal on a small piece of ground close to little Souix Iowa where I'm gonna build a hunting cabin when time/money permits.

I have never brought a hound up North (and have never coonhunted at all up there), mainly b/cause no where to keep a dog while deer hunting, staying in a hotel and all... But now that I own a place there, I can't wait to come coonhunting.

I don't even deer hunt in Fl, I shoot a hog or two, but would much rather coonhunt than deerhunt usually (except when in the midwest for my annual bowhunt)
