OKLAHOMA HUNTERS ACT NOW

contact the members of the House Wildlife Committee IMMEDIATLY.
HB 1857 proposes to allow trappers to use body gripping (conibear) traps when set and maintained below the surface of the water on private land. It also proposes to remove the current requirement that trappers and government employees post the presence of traps they set. I urge you to immediately contact the members of the House Wildlife Committee urging them to vote against HB 1857 because body gripping traps are a danger to dogs and children and posting signs indicating the presence of traps is a reasonable requirement which alerts citizens to the presence of potentially dangerous traps. If you are not aware of the danger conibear traps pose to pets, hunting dogs and other domestic animal I suggest that you copy and paste the following link into your browser and click on it to view some photographs of dogs caught in conibear traps.
