Do I contact UKC when my dog makes show champion?

My dog is very close, or at least I believe she is. I am new to this. I have read the rulebook, but I want to be clear. My dog has won 2 best of shows and also has a puppy class win. She got 35 points each for the 2 best of shows, and 10 for the puppy class. I figure she only needs 20 more points to win. Am I correct?

Once she gets those 20 points, do I contact UKC to get her name changed and a certificate, or do they contact me automatically?

As long as the club sends in your win slips with the proper info on it Ukc will send you your certificate and new EZ entry card.
It very important for whomever is filling out the entry info plus the win slip to be accurate and wright neatly so it can be understood at the Ukc office.
I don't know how many people were so mean towards Ukc after the Grand American because "their name or the hounds names" were spelled wrong. Ukc can only write what they can read!

I'm assuming by changing the name, you mean adding the title to it. If not, get the dog named the way you desire (less the Ch. part) before you finish her out. Once they earn a degree, the name can't be changed.

just fyi you have to have a best of show against competition and a 100 ukc points to become show champion good luck on your hound
