Bboa Zone 1 Hunts

We will start out the year with our first sectional hunt at Crete Nebraska.
This will be the BBOA ZONE 1 Nebraska State Championship.
The date for this hunt and show will be April 3rd and 4th. Contact Jerry Floral with any questions
These dates are correct. UKC flubbed in the bloodlines and put it as the 10th. The 10th is their poor boy hunt.

Our second hunt will be at Fayette Mo May 8th and 9th. Charles Wyatt told me that they will be giving away a light package to the high scoring dog for both night combined score. They should draw some more hunters. I will get Charles to put all the info for this hunt on here. When he can.

I believe that the BBOA Zone 1 Missouri State Hunt and Annual Hog Roast( now called the Mad Dog memorial hunt and the Blue frost memorial show) at Marshall Mo. will be held June 19th and 20th.
This was done to Honor Paul and Tim Vaughn and Bob Hayworth before they died instead of after. Most Memorials are done after death and we just thought it would be nice to Honor them befor and they would be alive to enjoy it in their Honor. The Zone is not promoteing a kennel or line of dog just the men whos dedication to the breed and our Zone has been appreciated.
It is still the BBOA ZONE 1 MO. STATE CHAMPIONSHIP and the awards will reflect as much.
This will also be the Zone 1 annual meeting. This will be the last time that the annual meeting will be held at this hunt unless we get more members to show up. As was voted on last year. Other wise the annual meeting will revert back to the first Sat in February due to business affairs and things that have to be turned into the National Officers at Bluetick Days. As it is now we are behind on our Nominations for the Life Time Achevement award and also the Zone 1 HOF nominations.
Also at the Marshall hunt we will be giving a Henry Golden Boy 22 to the High Scoring Bluetick . You must be a member of BBOA and memberships will be sold at the hunt.

We will be having a BBOA Zone 1 sectional at Butler Illinois September 11th and 12th. It will be at the Montgomery County Fair Grounds and hosted by the Sorento Coon Hunters Asso. Contact Todd Bergman at 217-259-5535 for more info.

Trying to get another hunt lined up in Illinois just waiting to hear back from some clubs. If any of you know of a club in Ill. that can hold a two night hunt get a hold of me at 620-224-7555

I will add more hunts as soon as we get the dates.

We will also be giving away Belt Buckles to the High Scoring Dogs of both the Hunt and Show at the end of the year. These are super nice Buckles made by Maynard Buckles.
Each dog will get points for the number of hunts and or shows attended. Cast or overall show wins. In the hunt portion total two night cast win score holds presidence over a one night cast win.

I will add more hunts as soon as we get the dates.

I could use anybodys ideas to help promote our Zone Shows and Hunts. Put them on here if you wish or call me at 620-224-7555

Talked with some guys about getting a hunt in Illinois. No commentments yet. May be adding a hunt in Kansas.

Trying to get a couple of sectional hunts in each state so everyone has an opportunity to go to a hunt close to them. Not everyone has the time off and or the money to chase all of the Zone 1 hunts so this way we each have one we can make it to.

Need any and all ideas on how to make our Zone bigger and better.

Zone 1 will be hosting the BBOA YOUTH HUNT next year. If you can help or know of any clubs that can help get a hold of me ASAP. We have to have the location in by National Bluetick Days this coming May. Charles Wyatt is checking to see if the Fayette club will do it. Anyone else that would like to hold it at their club please call me.

Also be watching the board for the nominations for the Hall of Fame and also nominations for the Lifetime Achievement awards. Charles Wyatt will get a thread up for it this week.

Zone 1

I have talked to Chris Briner, Harold Johnson, Russ Vernon and Jeff Timms. They all have been a great help. Right now Jeff is trying to get a hunt lined up possibly in June at his club. Should know pretty quick. Due to the other Zone hunt dates it is a challenge to say the least. BUT we are trying.

Bloodlines has listed the dates incorrectly in the magazine for the Crete Sectional. The correct dates are as Roy listed above, April 3-4. The 10th is just a poorboy hunt in Crete. This has been corrected in the UKC online Upcoming Event listing.

Zone 1

The BBOA Nebraska State Hunt is coming up quick. April 3rd and 4th at Crete Nebraska. Remember it is held at the Tuxedo Park in Crete.

I got a few raffle tickets mailed out yesterday and if I missed anyone give me a hollar and I'll get them right out to you. This is a great way to help support the Zone plus remember we need to raise money for the youth hunt we will be hosting next year.
Didn't get very good response from clubs that were willing to host the youth hunt but the Fayette Club in Mo. has stepped up to the plate and that is who we are going with. We will need all the volenteers we can get so please keep it in mind. They think it will be in June and that is a very busy month considering we hold our annual membership meeting and hunt at Marshall at that time.
Mandy has ordered trophies for the hunts and I have the Henry Golden Boy bought.
The Altoona Ks hunt is in October this year and Mike said he will get the dates for me asap.
Jeff Timms is trying to get a Illinois BBOA sectional at his club just trying to get a date lined up.

Roy, we will be having the marshall hunt at a new location this year. The Dysart Memorial 4- h shooting range. One mile North of marshall on 65 hwy. In the process of getting a building put up.

I am starting a list of side dishes that everyone will be bringing. Please PM Roy Clifton with what you are bringing.
This year the location has changed from the Fair Grounds to the Saline Co. CHA located 1 mile North of Marshall. MO. on 65 hwy at the Dysart Memorial 4-H Shooting Range. Contact Phil Vogel at 660-886-6011 or 660-815-2043.
Also remember to get your raffle tickets and monies to Mandy Riley by June 10th if at all possible. This way she can get everything prepared by the meeting.
