Most intelligent bluetick line or dog?
I like a dog with lots of brains so i thought i would give yall the chance to brag on that special one that was loaded up with brains or that line that just keeps producing the really smart ones.
Dangerous thread!

I''VE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH ALL THE LINES I THINK IT JUST BOILS DOWN TO EACH DOG JUST LIKE PEOPLE
I don't know if there is a line that is consistently smarter than all the rest.
But the smartest Bluetick hound I ever saw was Dual Gr. Ch. Razor Ridge Pop A Top.
He was smarter than some people.

I would have to agree with John. I don't think there one line that reproduces a smarter hound than the others consistently.
smarts
Probably has more to do w people than lines of dogs.
smart owners pretty normally wont cross dumb dogs.
thus, i wouldnt worry about the individual line...pay more attention to the guys making the breeding decisions and you will be farther ahead in the long run...

smart dog
My first registered hound was a male out of braggs west virginia blue 4. that dog could read your mind. i raised one pup out of him and a hammer bred female, who was smart. Brutus could reason out tracks and go where the coon was going. his momma did that some. Gary Uchtmans Ranger2 dog was extremely intelligent, along with the best all around dog I ever went hunting with. You can tell an intelligent dog by the look in their eyes.

Bill, I'll jump in line behind you & Mark & add a third to that motion! I have seen a couple hounds from that blood that were very intelligent. The icing on the cake was they were very nice coon treeing dogs to go along with that intelligence!

x' how ever many
I think most that have been around bullet/echo/popAtop hounds could agree this is one of their strengths. They dont all have it but the top cooners I have ran across with this blood all were above average in the brains department.
