Garmin Dc-50 Problem

Last night cut two dogs loose. One with a 50 collar on and another with a 40. The old dog had the 50 on and got in there 580 something yards and hooked up treed. The pup with the 40 on hung with us. Get to the tree, see Ricky, pet her up and recast down the hollow. Both dogs were gone 5 minutes or so and I look at the Garmin. Pup is 3 something. Old dog with the 50 was still saying treed at the last tree. Old dog came back and we went home because the collar was not working. I tried deleting it and re adding it with no success. It said treed with barely any GPS signal on the collar info page. It read treed the whole way home with the same signal strength (over a mile) at the first tree of the night. I turned it on this morning and it still said treed at the same place!

Any ideas?

From what I am reading about the phone apps that track dogs, Garmin's days may be numbered.

Check both the receiver and collars for updates

Press and hold the power button on the collar for 30 seconds this resets the collar. Then see what it does. If it is doing the same thing. Put the collar on a charger just like you are going to charge it. Press and release the power button 4 times with no spaces between with it on charge press release press release press release press release. This will do a MASTER reset on the collar and make it like it was brand new again fresh out of the box. Sounds like a software issue to me..... Hope this helps!!!!
