So, Garmins in hunts...cant use alpha collar?

Is this correct? You have to purchase the tracking only collar separately?

Posted by jkidd1 on 12-12-2014 04:16 PM:

Correct, with the alpha you can only use the T5 collar

2 options xist..
#1: buy a collar w/no stimnulation . I believe tt5 collar is the collar.
#2: leave the handheld @ the vehicle in the "OFF" position . While using the collars that r capable of "stimulating" physically/audible.

Posted by NiteHeat on 12-12-2014 04:47 PM:

ok, thats good to know. I can still have the original collar on him, just not have my handheld on my person.

Posted by Dogwhisper on 12-12-2014 04:53 PM:

That handheld needs to b "OFF" & left in the vehicle....

Posted by Bolden1 on 12-13-2014 02:19 AM:

Off position

We'll dog whisper that's the way I read it but I've seen two very big master hound and actually one field rep ruled as long as Alfha was in truck that it could be left on as long as no one was at the truck ( spectator, etc )

Should just be able to leave it all on. No special collars. Quit making us spend all this extra money. You think I give a crap if somebody shocks or tones their dog? No I dont and a majority out there dont either.

If you tone your dog and mine hears it. She comes in to me. How fair is that?

Go ahead and use it when I'm the judge or MOH and you will be making a long drive home real fast! If you need to use a training collar during a hunt then you don't need to be at a hunt in the first place!!! JMO
