I know guys have hunted with this dog. How was his mouth? Was he a lil tight on the ground like some of the dogs he sired?

He had a good mouth hunted good. Call Joe Gross or Engle they can tell you all about him and his off spring

Only thing I am not crazy about like a little bawl mouth myself, but he chops but he does very well on cold tracks

I have two. One off of Black Water Pearl female. She is bawl on track. Long bawl locate. Steady chop tree dog. Medium mouth. The male is off a Rat female. Same as the female .But VERY loud. Both are good on cold tracks.

We bred a pacman female to side great cross !!!
Wish he had lived longer would have bred to him again
Not sure but I thank he was youngest world champion ever

This my female out of Fightin' Side and Hitler's Little Ann. She's good about getting in the country and having a coon.

at the time he won he was the youngest ever! Has that changed since then? Im not sure

Side......

My buddy bought a male off of Side from Scott Stewert in Ohio for $2500, he was a Slick Tree'r Deluxe, about the worst I ever seen. Might not been because of Side, he does have a mother as well. He was a Nice tree dog.

I have hunted with a couple others out of Side, I didn't care for the ones I hunted with.

Jim, no hes not. I will have to look and see exactly who he is off.
I got him when he was 12 months old and finished him by 16 months.

I had to the chance to have lunch with Joe Gross's dad a few times.He he was an older man that talked real highly of Fightin Side.Said he was a unreal coondog that would go deep and get a coon treed with a coon somewhere.Not sure if he ever hunted with him or not but the stories sounded good.....Isn't Outsider out of Fightin Side?

yep, hes a son of fightin side. Both were world champs, pretty cool.

GrNtCh Stutzmans Midnight Star owned by Norm Stutzman is off Side X Millers Oprah . Probably one of the best females around these parts . Absolute coondog and a dominant reproducing female as well . I've drawn 4-5 pups off her and different litters and they are all above average and I've gotten beat by her also . She's a good one
