Hare Hunting
Near Spruce Knob lake in Randolph co. WV there is a grouse habitat area. I was thinking of trying this area for hare's, anyone else ever hunt this area, any thoughts. I am very green when it comes to hare hunting.

I just spoke to a fellow about the snowshoe at spruce and they said there population was very low .. This same guy just finished a study to see if there were any left in Virginia where there were snowshoe before and could get any going with his beagles ..

I hope he wasn't trying in Highland County area where they had stocked them and radio collared them years ago. If I remember correctly, they released around 20 and most were dead within 2 weeks due to predators.
