Who are you sharing the sport with this season?

Show us your hounds and hunting buddies! We are hoping to take several hunters out this season and would like to see who else is out sharing the sport.

Here is a picture of Issacc, Mike, and Darton after our hunt last week. This was their first time to coon hunt, and they are ready to go back. The second is a picture of my son Clay and I with our hounds Twist, Tug, and Pepper a couple nights a go with the biggest boar Clay (age 7) has had the opportunity to shoot out.

Had a great time hunting with Dennis Elbrader a few nights back and getting to see his coon dogs Flo and Irene go deep with the meat. Flo with the first coon, Irene coming up with the coon on the second drop, left Flo in the box for the next three drops, with Tug and Irene together on the third and split treeing the fourth and fifth 425 yards apart, and ended with Tug on the sixth. Thanks again Dennis. Clay and I had a goodtime hunting with you and your dogs.

Got to take Darton and a couple of his brothers out for a short hunt. They enjoyed seeing the hounds do their thing.

Beautiful night. Couldn't help but make one drop even if it was a school night . My daughter took out this 22 lb boar.

This is picture from over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Got to take my girlfriend and a good buddy of mine that works in law enforcement out to shoot their first coon ever.

The neighbor kid has been begging me for a year if he could hunt with me. Finally his parents said it was okay. I let him lead the dog from the tree and I think he was on top of the world.

Thanks Corey and Borgstadt for showing us your pictures and telling us how you are sharing the sport. It's good to get to hunt with seasoned hunters, and always great to see new hunters excitement.

Got the kids out on a couple hunts this weekend. On the first one our young gyp was showing off for them, treeing a nice boar. On the second hunt they got to take their friend Gavin for his first coon hunt.

Sharing the sport

I took the misses youngest cousin for the first time, made him shoot it and carry it out of the woods. When the coon hit the ground he turned around and looked at me with a big grin and said I'm coming again tomorrow night. For Christmas I bought him a squall. I'm positive he's addicted now. Calls everyday asking if we're going tonight.

Allaboutthedogs thanks for posting. I think our sport appeals to a lot of people if they are given the chance to go give it a try. Once given the opportunity they are hooked!

Ended our season with 104 coon. Wanted to share a few pictures of the hounds, and hides. The first picture shows some of the hunters who went with us, and some of the landowners who allowed us to hunt their land. The second shows some of the youth who hunted with us. The last picture is my son Clay, and the hounds, he hunted every night that his school schedule allowed. This season was dedicated to Dillon Frieze 9/12/91-6/2/14.
