Thanks guys, he's one of those once in a lifetime type hounds that I'll always use to compare others against. He's super smart, fast, accurate & a big ole boy weighing 95lb.
He looks like he goes back to a lot of the old OO Grant blood.

When I was a youngster I exchanged a few letters with an old man in Kansas City who hunted hounds who looked like him.
His first name was Al, but I can't think of his last name.
He sent me a picture of one of his dogs that looked a lot like your hound.

Yes sir, they're getting hard to find. It's hard to find what I prefer. I believe if your patient you can find what you like etc with him I kind of got my cake and got to it to! Lol he's got what I consider correct confirmation, size I like ( 95lb ) the ears, nose, mouth, speed, ability & super super smart! He's like having a lab or golden retriever that can flat out tree coon. If he never treed another coon I couldn't complain about him.
Mr. Carroll I believe your talking about Al Womack. Al had hounds that looked like hounds and hunted like hounds should.

This was what the garmin said after hunting 1 hr 45 minute. See big hounds can cover ground with speed!

Is that the hound you have been hunting the last couple of years?
I believe I seen a pedigree on him a while back..
look at your PM's
Yep that's him
not trying to highjack the thread.. but here is a couple of pictures of Reno the 1st is about 6 months ago the 2nd was about 2 years ago
now-- I have a daughter of him working decent... in the future, I will be looking!
I have a gyp that is colored just like Reno. She weighs bout 90lbs. She doesn't have as good of confirmation as I like though!
