Didn't get out til late fri night ran a real long track about 1/2 to 3/4 mile right to a well used huge den tree.

Been huntin my year old walker gyp bout every night. Runnin a lot of tracks just no trees yet. But I guess that's all part of it, just gotta keep huntin her.

Yeah it was definitely a cold one last night. Ran one track and couldn't seem to do anything with it and apparently figured that out and quit it. Hunted out about 750 yards and struck where I could hardly hear her, ran that track for a while and couldn't put an end on it either. I guess the trees will come sooner or later. Hopefully.

I know how that goes. I bear hunt too and my gyp came in the 3rd week of runnin season and was in for 4 weeks instead of the usual 21 days. Can't say I've ever been so frustrated with bear huntin. I think I ended up gettin to hunt her like 2 days and she really needed a lot more exposure than that.

I hear ya, I took a vacation week from work this week just to hunt and she won't get to go at all. She gets it done consistently but they sure do put the polish on hunting them every night for week or so in a row.

Hunted a new place tonight, on the first drop Pride and Mary split treed about 40 yards apart up to big pine trees didn't see them. Second drop Pride got treed while Mary was still working her track, after we got to Pride's tree Mary came treed about 40 yards from him. I went to her tied her up and squalled and saw her coon. Stopped looking for Prides when I found hers. This is only the second coon I've ever seen without a mask, other than an albino.

Awesome pics hobo! Sounds like a good night. Me and a buddy hunted natl forest tonight. First drop at a pond didn't get a strike, driving to second drop got a rig and tried to let the dogs work it but they couldn't pick it up off the road. 2nd drop my dog made a big loop and came back, buddies dog messed with a real old sounding track but couldn't come up with anything. Heard another hound in the distance so we didn't continue down the road to attempt a 3rd drop.

3 trees tonight. Had a little drizzle. First tree big oak still had lots of leaves, 2nd den tree, and 3rd was a tough track in the middle of a decent rain looked like it could have been a den possibly.

Turned loose on natl forest about 10 tonight with the wind blowin pretty good and 47deg. Struck a track about 125 yds in and ran it about 700 yds. Treed in a huge pine tree but got some eyes to peak out. 2nd drop at a pond in clearing surrounded by woods. Younger dog had a weak strike and my older dog couldn't even get that and he came back, younger dog worked it about 15 min and maybe 6 barks and he gave up and came in. Not a bad night wish wind hadn't been blowing .
